The key to finding happiness in life on a daily basis is to know what you love and to do what gives you pleasure.
In our restaurant, tradition meets modernity and combines the best of both worlds to create culinary delights that will be remembered. This is how I manage to delight you with tasteful rarities and creative compositions. My dishes are a symphony of flavours, just as music is a chord of sounds. For me, cooking is a passion, like listening to songs: sometimes rocking – sometimes gentle. My dishes are based on the seasons, my feelings, but also on your wishes. Fresh, rustic, sustainable products and regionality are my top priorities. Creating many new recipes, providing a taste explosion for every palate, these are my requirements and wishes.

Valtellina Cuisine

Valtellina cuisine means a feeling of home for me. The smell of “Pizzoccheri della Valtellina” as soon as they are served, the sound of melting butter, my hands in the dough, all this reminds me again of my childhood and the look on my grandmother’s face.

Origins and roots, as we all know, cannot be forgotten. These are my childhood memories and those of my Valtellina, an Italian region that shares history and territory with neighbouring Switzerland. From a poor cuisine can come a truly rich taste experience!
Give me the chance to prove it and let your palate be enchanted with a firework of delights. You will be thrilled by: Buckwheat, cheese blends, products that still taste of the herbs and summer flowers of the Alps! And I recommend the gold of the Valtellina, a grape variety of the Alps, a wine with red nuances, our “Sfursat”.

If it is true that the early bird catches the worm – you should start your day in our Hotel Miralago and it can only be a good day. We have the right choice for every taste, from sweet to sour, a carousel of flavours to awaken your senses, but really all five! Arrange your breakfast according to the seasons, listen to your inner voice and choose products from the buffet that excite you.

Sweet seduction

Every moment can be the right moment to give you a moment of sweetness. Experience the intense taste of our homemade cakes and tarts. Without any additives, you can feel emotions that mix with all the other ingredients in a waltz of flavours: Joy, pleasure and quality will captivate you.

In every new pastry there is the care we put into our products and the attention we give to those who taste them. For us, making pastries is a family affair. We draw on recipes from our childhood or from Anja’s father. We also enjoy innovating them with a little imagination. Without mincing words: Our homemade cakes are simply the best!

Aperitif as in the past

Whether romantic or in company, the aperitif is certainly the best farewell to a perfect day and the beginning of an even better evening.
When the sun sets, in the soft light of the lake, the door opens to our grotto. A cozy, rustic, old-fashioned atmosphere awaits you to taste “typical things” accompanied by the aroma of the wine cellar.
Young or aged cheeses, cured meats from the valley, rye bread and much more for every taste. There is certainly no shortage of excellent wines here. Unfiltered, straight from the barrel, or bottled, choosing from the labels of our local partners, you can enjoy its flavors, drinking from the “ciapel”, the old-fashioned wooden bowl, or from the traditional goblet.
All that remains is to toast to it: “Salute” and cheers to you!
